It is easy for us, as Americans, to take religious freedoms and political rights for granted. However, in the countries of the post-Soviet Union, the traditions of justice and rights are still barely rooted in the political soil.

 

You can help NCSEJ safeguard the religious and political freedoms of the 1.5 million Jews in Eastern Europe and Eurasia. Their fledgling communities have come back to life on the very soil where our own Ashkenazi families are rooted, and we must not let them down.

 

In the last 20 years, we have contributed to the growth of Judaism and have worked closely with national governments to protect the autonomy of these fledgling Jewish communities. As they continue to need us, we continue to need your help to strengthen the Jewish communities who seek our protection and partnership.
